FAUX FOX - ALL THAT REMAINS
4 Sep 2008
Evolving from the late-90s North Texas art-rock movement, Faux Fox play a defiantly experimental variation of electro, which vacillated between avant-rock and sleek pop hooks. This is their latest recording, All That Remains- It also includes a video clip for the track Nothing Gold directed by Victor Solomon.
FRESHKILLS - NEW SELF TITLED ALBUM
4 Sep 2008
Amazing new album from these Brooklyn guys!! Vocal infused with paranoia, aggravation and twisted vulnerability. The rhythms, though rarely slow are controlled, ominous and sometimes hypnotic. The twin-guitar work is droning and breathtaking, and leads are rare. This is the Freshkills second self released and self titled album, produced by Alex Newport (At The Drive-In, The Locust and Two Gallants).
BRAINBOMBS LIVE ALBUM!

Most likely the only copies to reach Australia of this killer live album from Swedish noise abrasion specialists Brainbombs, the 'Live at Lund' LP features two sides of the usual horrific mind melt!!
Two New Australian Releases (1979 and 2008)
1 Sep 2008
This week sees the debut (2 years in the making)12 tracker from popular Gold Coast 5 piece A Secret Death which is in stock now on Skull and Bones. And a blast from the past in the form of The Visitors, whose 1994 CD gets a 2008 update reissue. Formed in 1978, five months after the first Radio Birdman break-up, The Visitors featured 3 RB members ( Deniz Tek, Pip Hoyle, & Ron Keeley ), along with that band's 'Minister of Defence' Mark Sisto on Vocals & Steve Harris from the Passengers. They played just 12 gigs in 9 months with great fellow Sydney bands The Lipstick Killers (a Reissue out soon), The Hitmen (Reissues out now), The Passengers, & the Thought Criminals. A 4 track 12" came out in 1980, with a full length LP in '85. Red Eye issued a CD in '94 all of which have been totally deleted until now, so dig on these indeed!
